What does power cycle mean for the host

aggregate.buffer.sizeDisplays the size of the buffer used for each round of aggregation (the default unit is KB). Larger buffers may improve aggregation performance, but could affect collection performance. The change will take effect after restarting the acquisition.aggregate.precacheDetermines whether the decoder performs a precaching of the next aggregation round for upstream services. This can improve aggregation performance, but it can affect collection performance. The change takes effect immediately.assembler.pool.ratioShows the percentage of pool pages that are managed by the assembler and used for the assembly process. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.assembler.session.flushEmpties sessions when they are finished (1) or empties sessions when they have been analyzed (2). The change takes effect when the service is restarted.assembler.session.poolLists the number of entries in the session pool. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.assembler.size.maxLists the maximum size a session will receive. A setting of 0 removes the session size limit. The change takes effect immediately.assembler.size.minLists the minimum size a session must be to persist. The change takes effect immediately.assembler.timeout.packetLists the number of seconds before a packet time-out. The change takes effect immediately.assembler.timeout.sessionLists the number of seconds before a session time-out. The change takes effect immediately.assembler.voting.weightsDisplays the weights used to determine which session stream is marked as customer and server. The change takes effect immediately.capture.autostartDetermines whether the collection starts automatically when the service starts. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.capture.buffer.sizeDisplays the allocation size of the memory buffer for the acquisition (default unit is MB). The change takes effect when the service is restarted.capture.device.paramsDisplays specific parameters of the collection service. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.
The parameters understood by this field are specific to the currently selected sensing device. If one of the parameters is not recognized by the current acquisition device, it will be ignored.

Only the log event capture device is present on Log Decoders. This accepts some optional parameters.
  • use envision time: When this value is set to 1, the time metadata for each event is imported from the Log Collector stream. If this value is set to 0 or not set, the imported event time is stored in the event.time metadata.
  • port: This parameter can be set to a numeric value to override the default syslog port listener, 514.
capture.selectedDisplays the current collection service and interface. The change takes effect immediately.export.expire.minutesLists the number of minutes to expire and empty export cache files. The change takes effect immediately.export.packet.enabledAllows the export of package data, if activated. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.export.packet.local.pathDisplays the local storage location for caching exported package data. Optional assigned maximum size (= # unit). Units are: t for TB; g for GB, m for MB. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.export.packet.maxShows the maximum number of packages per export file. For export file types that are cached, this determines the size of the cache. Zero means unlimited. The change takes effect immediately.export.packet.remote.pathLists the remote protocol (nfs: //) and the location for export data. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.export.packet.size.maxShows the maximum number of bytes for packets per export file. For export file types that are cached, this determines the size of the cache. Zero means unlimited. The change takes effect immediately.export.rollupDetermines the rollup interval for exported files. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.export.session.enabledAllows the export of session data, if activated. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.export.session.formatDetermines the file format used for the session export. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.export.session.local.pathDisplays the local storage location for caching exported session data. Optional assigned maximum size (= # unit). Units are: t for TB; g for GB, m for MB. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.export.session.maxShows the maximum number of sessions per export file. For export file types that are cached, this determines the size of the cache. Zero means unlimited. The change takes effect immediately.export.session.meta.fieldsDetermines which metafields are exported. Comma list of fields. Star means all fields. Asterisk plus field list means all fields with the exception of the fields listed. Field list only means that only these fields are included. The change takes effect immediately.export.session.remote.pathDisplays the remote log (nfs: //) and the location used for the export. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.export.session.size.maxDisplays the maximum number of bytes for sessions per export file. For export file types that are cached, this determines the size of the cache. Zero means unlimited. The change takes effect immediately.export.usage.maxDisplays the maximum number of bytes for sessions per export file. For export file types that are cached, this determines the size of the cache. Zero means unlimited. The change takes effect immediately.parse.threadsLists the number of parse threads used for session parsing. If the value is zero, this will be decided by the server. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.pool.packet.page.sizeDisplays the size of a package page (default is KB). The change takes effect when the service is restarted.pool.packet.pagesLists the number of packet pages the decoder allocates and uses. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.pool.session.page.sizeDisplays the size of a session page (by default in KB). The change takes effect when the service is restarted.pool.session.pagesLists the number of session pages the decoder is assigning and using. The change takes effect when the service is restarted.
