What 3D shape looks like a tent

Inflatable tent put to the test: what can "Folldal" from Skandika do?

No more poles and struts: The inflatable tent "Folldal" from Skandika promises easy assembly and a lot of space. We tested it.

"Insert the partial rod D into the cross brace F and lock both with the lock G". Anyone who has ever set up a tent themselves knows this: sorting poles, plugging them into each other, connecting them to the tent and finally bringing everything to a standstill (and above all to stop) - that can be very tedious.

The Norwegian brand Skandika offers the solution. With the inflatable tent "Folldal" you can put an end to annoying poles forever. Simply spread out the tent, fix the pegs in the ground and inflate the air ducts with the help of a simple pump - done.

And indeed: in just a few minutes you can have a full tent in front of you. Only the poles for the awning still have to be set up conventionally.

A lot of weight despite a lot of air

Despite the missing frame, the "Folldal" tent still weighs 11.45 kg and is therefore rather unsuitable for hiking. With its spacious anteroom and space for four people in the rear sleeping cabin, however, it is ideal for a family vacation. And even in bad weather, the firmly sewn-in tent floor and the waterproof tent material as well as the sealed seams ensure sufficient comfort.

The tent is a total of 450 x 240 cm, 195 cm high and can be purchased for 749 euros.
