Rotate a picture in Outlook

If a picture is sideways or upside down in an email message, you can rotate it to an upright position.

Rotate an image that was emailed to you

Outlook cannot rotate an image in the reading area. If you are using the Reading Pane, start with step 1.Otherwise, skip to step 2:

  1. Select the tab view and select in the group layout the entry Reading area > from from.

  2. Open the email message with the picture you want to rotate.

  3. Select on the tab message in the group move the option Actions > edit message off (or, if Actionsis not displayed, choose > edit messagefrom from.

  4. Select the photo that you want to rotate.

  5. Select on the tab format in the group arrange the option rotate , then select the rotation you want (Turn right, to the leftrotate, Tilt verticallyetc.).

Rotate an image that you are sending to someone else

  1. Select the photo that you want to rotate.

  2. Select on the tab format in the group arrange the option rotate , then select the rotation you want (Turn right, to the leftrotate, Tilt verticallyetc.).

Rotate an image that was emailed to you

  1. In the email message, right-click the picture, and then choose save Imageunder off.

  2. Give the picture a unique name and save it on your hard drive.

  3. Open the File explorer and navigate to the folder where you saved the picture.

  4. Right-click the image file and use> to select photosto open out.

  5. Select the button above rotate out.

    (Each click rotates the image 90 degrees to the right.)

  6. Select the ellipses above, then select to saveunder off.

    This action saves the rotated image as a separate file from the original image.

Rotate an image that you are sending to someone else

Use the Photo APP to rotate the picture, before You paste it in your email message.

  1. Open the File explorer and navigate to the folder where the picture is saved.

  2. Right-click the image file and use> to select photosto open out.

  3. Select the button above rotate out.

    (Each click rotates the image 90 degrees to the right.)

  4. Select the ellipses above, then select to saveunder off.

    This action saves the rotated image as a separate file from the original image.

  5. Go to Outlook and paste the rotated image file into your message: under the message text, near the Save and Discard buttons, click Insert pictures online:

  6. Navigate to the folder where the rotated image is saved, select it, and then select to openout.

Rotate an image that was emailed to you

  1. Ctrl + click the image and select to saveunder off.

  2. Save the picture on your Mac's hard drive.

  3. Switch to finderand navigate to the file you just saved.

  4. Double click to open the picture.

    The image is in Preview window displayed.

  5. At the top of the toolbar, click the Rotate left button to rotate the image in 90-degree increments until it is positioned the way you want it.

  6. Select in the menu file the command to save out.

Rotate an image that you are sending to someone else

  1. Select the picture that you included in the message.

  2. Click and hold the pivot point over the top center of the image. Drag the pointer in the direction you want to rotate the image, then release the mouse button.
