You can very well adjust the hardness with the rotating bars. If they are fully tensioned, the box jumps like a billy goat and stands very high in front. You have to find a good average yourself.
It is important that both bars have the same pretension, otherwise it will be harder on one side than on the other.
In order to adjust the bars reasonably evenly, you must have the car in a vertical position. The best way to do this is on a 4-pillar stage. Then you set the bars first roughly using a tape measure or folding rule and then fine-tune them with a spirit level (preferably an electronic one). The procedure took me about 3 hours.
After adjusting the torsion bars, you still have to correct the camber and toe. This takes another hour, depending on the options and equipment.
