Decorative gravel and gravel demand calculator - How much gravel do I need for my construction site?

Use this to calculate your requirements for gravel and the various types of decorative gravel.

Gravel converter - how many tons (t) per cubic meter (sqm)?

You just want to calculate the weight of gravel.
Please enter the volume for this in cubic meters / m³ one and choose the material.

How do the demand calculator and the converter for gravel work

The demand calculator for gravel supports you in your planning.
Since many building materials are not offered in cubic meters (m³) but in tons (t), the requirements calculator not only determines the required volume, but also directly the bulk weight. Please determine the exact dimensions (in meters) of your excavation pit and select the desired type of gravel material.

The converter for gravel is for users who already know what volume of gravel they need and only need to calculate the weight. Enter the volume there and select the desired type of gravel material.

Weight differences due to different grain sizes
Many bulk goods are offered in different grain sizes (grain size). A smaller grain size is compressed differently than the same volume of gravel with a coarse grain size. Unwashed building materials also contain so-called zero components, which are deposited in the gaps.

How accurate are the results?
The volume is calculated exactly.
Since building materials and bulk goods are mostly natural or recycled products, their weight can vary slightly depending on their origin or composition.
The density recorded here describes the loosely poured material. Since many building materials are additionally compacted when they are laid, the need is usually higher. For example, the gravel substructure of a path is compacted three times using a vibrating plate.
The results are therefore only intended as a guide. Depending on the application, more bulk goods should be ordered.

The concentration
is an indication of the relationship between the weight (mass) in kilograms and the volume in m³.
For example, if 1 m³ of crushed stone (32 - 60 mm) weighs 1460 kg, the density is 1460 kg / m³.
When paving a path, gravel is compacted further by means of a vibrating plate. Its density is then 1700 kg / m³.

Recycled products
are building materials from material recycling. In this way of recycling, for example, new materials are obtained from old masonry. These are of high quality and their use protects our resources and the environment.

Tip: mix building materials
From certain grain sizes, the gaps become important when mixing. For example, if you mix 1 m³ of coarse gravel (or stones) with 1 m³ of earth, the finished mixture will not result in 2 m³, but less. This is because the finer soil fills the spaces in the gravel.
