Netezza uses PostgreSQL relational engine so you could use the native .NET provider for PostgreSQL or use OLE DB because if I understand correctly Netezza is a data warehouse engine which means by default it is an OLE DB datasource in the Microsoft platform. You will need the client software or Netezza connection software and add references to OLE DB in VS2005. This should get you started.
