Data protection

Based on the law applicable to the use of your personal data, you have rights in relation to your personal data. Note that we must weigh your rights and your request to exercise them against our rights and obligations to process your personal data and to protect the rights and freedoms of others. Below are some of the rights you have in relation to your personal data as applicable in the European Economic Area:

Right of access
You have the right to a copy of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it. Your personal data is usually made available to you digitally. We may require you to provide proof of your identity before providing the requested information.

Right to rectification
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the information we hold about you is correct and complete. However, if you believe that this is not the case, you have the right to request that any incomplete or inaccurate personal data that we process about you be changed.

Right to cancellation
You have the right to request us to delete your personal data, e.g. if the personal data are no longer required for the original purpose for which they were collected, if personal data are out of date or if you have given your consent to the reasons from which the data is processed, revoke. However, this must be weighed against other factors. For example, we cannot meet your request due to certain legal or regulatory obligations.

Right to restriction of processing
You are entitled to ask us to (temporarily) stop using your personal data, e.g. if you are of the opinion that the personal data we have stored about you may be incorrect or if you are of the opinion that we no longer have your personal data need to use.

Right to data portability
You may have the right to request that we pass on personal data that you have made available to us to a third party of your choice. This right can only be exercised if you have made the personal data available to us and if we process this data automatically on the basis of your consent or to fulfill our obligations under a contract with you.

Right to object
You have the right to object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests. You can also ask us to stop using your personal data for marketing purposes at any time and if you do, FedEx will immediately stop using your personal data. For other purposes based on our legitimate interests, we will no longer process the personal data on this basis if you object, unless we have a compelling legitimate reason for the processing. Please note, however, that we may not be able to provide certain services or benefits if we are unable to process the personal data required for this purpose.

Rights in connection with automated individual decisions
You have the right not to be subject to a decision that is based solely on automated decisions, including profiling, that have legal effects on you or that significantly affect you in a similar manner. If you have been subjected to an automated decision and you do not agree with the result, you can contact us using the following information and ask us to review the decision.

Right to withdraw consent
In individual cases we can ask for your consent to the processing of your personal data. In this case you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. FedEx will stop further processing as soon as possible after withdrawing your consent. This does not affect the legality of the processing before the consent was withdrawn.
